Key Responsibilities

  • REMOTE ROLE-with up to 20% travel

The Calibrate Sr. Manager Programs & Policies supports the Calibrate Program Director and serves as lead liaison with internal and external departments regarding program design and deployment. This includes leading and supporting documentation and refinement of various programs including the apprentice programs. Responsible to create, implement and maintain policies and procedures for the United Calibrate team which will reduce risk and protect all stakeholders. Manage apprentice mentor/trainer mapping, apprentice sentiment and satisfaction while thinking proactively about retention, attrition and executing on backfill strategies. Liaise with various departments such as Legal, HR and Labor Relations while developing new partnerships that will ensure all Calibrate standards are met. Research and communicate to Program Director regarding apprentice-related programs around the industry based on knowledge, web research, industry networking, etc.

  • Identify, propose, develop, vet and implement policy changes and program additions
  • Manage location readiness while supporting United and Calibrate program growth strategies. Ensure all program-related requirements such as curriculum, facilities, training materials, trainers, etc. are completed for go-live
  • Develop and author standard operating procedures for all aspects of the Calibrate program and execute program delivery including curriculum, mentor training, apprentice feedback and measuring overall success of program (e.g., measured as competence achieved by apprentices)
  • Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders when developing new programs and partnerships, ensuring program details and indemnification protections (e.g., liabilities, losses, claims, damages) are identified and communicated to all involved parties. Also, responsible to communicate program details to key leaders
  • Lead transformation and Change Management activities – i.e., translate all changes to program into stakeholder-level analysis, including change impact assessment, strategy for rolling out changes, and communicating to all stakeholders about upcoming changes to the program
  • Support backfills strategy definition for all future sites (pre-rollout), understanding skills needed

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Project Management or Business Analyst type role
  • Exposure of Tech Ops, Airport Ops or Operations
  • Previous experience leading complex programs
  • Demonstrate strong communication, research, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications
  • Demonstrate long and short-term strategic thinking supporting business mission
  • Highly proficient with SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
