As our Digital Communications Associate, you will help shape, implement, evaluate and refine the organization’s communications strategy across its web properties and digital platforms. This position reports directly to the Manager of Digital Communications.

Reports to: Manager, Digital Communications

Job Overview: This position supports the Manager of Digital Communications as well as two busy communications and advocacy teams in a shared service capacity. The Digital Communications Associate will be responsible for updating and maintaining up to twenty websites to include copy changes, working with external vendors to build new pages or microsites, and updating related images by working with expert teams and internal and external design teams.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement new content and content updates on organization websites
Support project management of highly visible web updates and site builds from beginning to end, from gathering of requirements, design and development, to testing, launch and support
Maintain transparency with task/project status reporting and regular communication about deadlines and expectations or clarifications
Develop improvements to policies and processes to increase web traffic and user experience based on data and analytics
Provide creative direction and submit requests for website visual assets to our creative services team
Serve as day-to-day contact for multiple vendor relationships
Stay current on digital communications best practices and trends

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, public relations, marketing, or a related field
1-3 years of relevant experience
Proven ability to meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail. Well-organized with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and people at once
Basic knowledge of content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress and Drupal. Experience with HTML and CSS highly desired
Background with web analytics reporting (e.g., Google Analytics)
Work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to accommodate deadline changes
A quick learner with an understanding of and interest in digital and web properties
