Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Analyst reviews budget variances and prepares monthly and quarterly reports with results. Prepares accounting records and financial reporting. Assists with preparation of financial analysis and reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Maintains accounting records, assists with the preparation of financial reporting, tax reporting and prepares budget variance reports.
Responsible for the maintenance and monthly reconciliation of the ERP system inventory and reconciliation of physical inventory cycle counts performed during the year, including performing cycle counts as needed.
Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic profitability reports by customer and product type.
Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Compiles and analyzes financial information in order to prepare journal entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documenting business transactions.
Processes month-end reports for management review.
Assists in Business Analysis for projects in other departments.
Compile data and documents necessary for review by auditors and examiners.
Assists organization’s CFO in the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate financial requirements.
Performs other duties as requested.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
