Trump announces upcoming appearance in New Hampshire

President Trump will return to New Hampshire this month to deliver remarks at a campaign event in Windham, just weeks after visiting the state in June at the esteemed Lilac Luncheon, hosted by the New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women.

Trump will be visiting New Hampshire on Aug. 8. He is expected to deliver remarks at Windam High School at 2:30 p.m. ET.

In the Granite State, the 45th president is powerfully in command of the 2024 GOP primary race.

According to data from the Manhattan Institute, Trump is leading with 34 percent of the Republican primary vote compared to Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., who earned 13 percent.

In a National Research poll conducted in late July, Trump held 41 percent of primary support in New Hampshire, while DeSantis netted 11 percent. This represented a 2-point swing toward Trump between July 12 and July 26. For DeSantis, this was a 4-point loss.

President Trump’s New Hampshire remarks will take place after a busy weekend delivering speeches in Alabama and South Carolina at two different GOP dinners.

It will also be his first return to New Hampshire since being indicted a third time this year and arraigned last week in Washington, D.C. on federal charges related to a grand jury’s investigation into Jan. 6, 2021.
