Job Description


Our client, an industry leader dedicated to the design and manufacture of technology for concrete products in the industrial and environmental markets, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to add to their growing team. The ideal candidate will respond to customer inquiries, maintain customer database in ACT, prepare requests for customer quotations, format a monthly sales forecast, sustain positive customer relationships, travel extensively (minimum 50%), and close sale. Note: Candidates with knowledge of concrete plants, concrete equipment or the concrete industry in general are strongly encouraged to apply!

Essential Requirements

The qualified candidate must be able to perform all areas outlined for this position in a satisfactory manner:


Education: HS Diploma with additional technical training related to manufacturing or mechanical engineering.

Valid driver’s license.
Minimum 5-years (10-years prefe1Ted) of increasingly responsible experience in direct sales of industrial equipment or direct experience in precast concrete plant operations, with at least 3years (5-years preferred) of sales management.


Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Must be able to quickly gain a good working knowledge of the technical aspects of the company’s products and its manufacturing processes.
Must have the ability to understand the capabilities and benefits of the company’s products.
Must be able to effectively communicate the benefits of the company’s products.
Must be able to read and explain the details of equipment and plant layout drawings to identify customers equipment needs.
Must be capable of field measuring and visualizing equipment layouts at customer’s facilities, convey that information back to company.
Must be computer literate and be able to operate the company’s applicable systems, with training. Must also be able to effectively use ACT, MS Word, MS/Excel and MS Outlook. CAD experience a bonus but not required.
Must have the ability to work toward and meet strict deadlines.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with employees at all levels of the company, outside professionals and customers. Spanish speaking a bonus but not required.
Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. The Regional Sales Manager must be able to switch from one project to the next and back with little or no reorientation necessary.
