Director, Category Leadership, Sam’s Club

The Coca-Cola Category team is seeking a highly skilled advisor to join our category team. This role is integral to our category management team, supporting Beverage merchants on the Sam’s Club account. As a Category Leadership advisor, you will leverage your strong technical skills, customer relationships, people leadership, and strategic thinking to develop strategies alongside the merchants to optimize space and assortment. You will manage and improve an annual assortment optimization process side-by-side with the merchants to drive category growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership: Lead and develop a cross functional team that supports the Sam’s Club beverage business.  At Coca-Cola, our people are the key.  In this role, you will lead the insights, strategies, and technical capabilities for our Total Beverage advisership at Sam’s Club.
  • Technical Analysis and Reporting: Utilize Tableau, Alteryx and Excel to analyze complex data sets and create and maintain visuals for key stakeholders
  • Data Management: Collect, clean, aggregate, combine and maintain data to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis and reporting; Including from data sources like Nielsen, Circana, and Numerator
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for Sam’s Club merchants, understanding their needs, both tactical and strategic, to deliver tailored and custom solutions and strategies
  • Insights / Strategic: Develop fact-based insights to develop assortment strategies for merchants; combine insights from various sources to build a cohesive recommendation for the merchants assortment Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including space and shopper functions to support the merchants and help them build their strategy
  • Continuous improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes, reporting, datasets, automation
  • Assortment and Space management: Draw and maintain store specific planograms; optimizing both assortment and space strategies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in data analysis, category management, and/or space analytics; Sam’s Club experience
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tableau, Alteryx, Excel are essential. Experience with SQL, Python a plus
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actional insights
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail at both breadth and depth
  • Category / Space: JDA/Blue Yonder; ShelfIQ and Cantactix experience is all a plus

Director, Metal Technologies

The Director of Metal Packaging Technologies at the Packaging Engineering and Technology Center (PETC) will lead the development and implementation of innovative metal packaging solutions across the organization. The Director will manage the global technology and development pipeline for metal packaging, maintain relationships with key global suppliers, and provide technical support to various Operating Units. This role will also involve monitoring competitive activities and tracking the implementation of metal packaging technologies globally.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Technology and Development Pipeline: Build and own the global technology and development pipeline for metal packaging.
  • Expert Network: Lead technology cross-fertilization globally by building and maintaining a global network of metal packaging subject matter experts across the Technical Innovation and Supply Chain organization.
  • Global Specifications: Claim and refresh global metal packaging specifications in alignment with operating units.  Build and maintain the official Global Book of Record for metal packaging specifications.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strategic technical relationships with key global suppliers and OEMs to influence the direction of their innovation and technology development for maximum value to The Coca-Cola System.
  • Project Management: Lead and oversee projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Business Support: Support the business, including the Global Development and Innovation organization (GDI), Technical Operations, and bottlers, with technical assistance where subject matter expertise is needed. Additionally, contribute to their innovation pipeline by identifying and integrating new technologies and packaging solutions that drive growth and sustainability.
  • Procurement Alignment: Partner with global and local procurement teams to support and align with the Company’s procurement strategy.
  • Intellectual Property: provide strategic leadership in the generation and management of intellectual property (IP) pertinent to metal packaging. Continuously monitor the global IP landscape to proactively identify and address emerging opportunities and potential threats in the metal packaging sector.
  • Competitive Activity Tracking: Track global competitive activity for metal packaging to identify and act on opportunities and threats.

Senior Manager, Category Leadership Advisor – Walmart

Responsibilities:

  • Support and help strengthen the existing world class Category Advisory relationship Coca-Cola has with Walmart beverage buyers and support team
  • Provide beverage category expertise via engaging dialogue, data analytics and workflow management with customer
  • Create, automate, and disseminate next generation business intelligence and weekly reports, informing customer business decisions
  • Develop processes and tools which aid in identifying and delivering actionable, fact-based category recommendations
  • Work with Shopper Insights and Space Management teams to develop valuable category recommendations
  • Manage and utilize proprietary Coca-Cola tools and resources to achieve broader analysis of business and category trends

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience creating disruptive innovation that streamlines processes and allows for focus on the work that matters most

Network Design Manager

As a Manager of Network Modeling and Optimization, you will be part of a Center of Excellence to support and manage evolving Coca-Cola’s supply chain network design and optimization strategies.

This role involves leveraging advanced analytics, mathematical modeling, and optimization techniques to drive strategic decisions, reduce operational costs, and enhance service levels across our global network. Your leadership will ensure our distribution and supply chain networks are resilient, agile, and aligned with our sustainability objectives.

 

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including TISC, OUs, Bottlers, and finance to understand demand forecasts, production capacities, and financial objectives.
  • Manage the development and implementation of strategic network optimization models to support global distribution, manufacturing, and logistics operations.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and optimization software to identify opportunities for cost reduction, service improvement, and network rationalization.
  • Working closely with TISC and market, direct the modeling and scenario analysis for evaluating strategic initiatives, expansion plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain optimization and network modeling.

 

Qualification:

  • BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Information Systems preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on network modeling, optimization, and analytics in a global context.
  • Good analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in optimization software (e.g., Llamasoft, AIMMS, OptiLogic or similar).
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Good understanding of the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry and global supply chain dynamics.
  • Understanding of franchise business model and ways of working preferred.
