Planning Engineer/ Sr. Planning Engineer – RPMG
Role & Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Contribute to the development of work breakdown structures (WBS), project plans, and activity sequencing alongside senior planning engineers and project stakeholders
- Provide assistance with the creation of project schedules, including defining milestones, deliverables, and critical paths
- Ensure sequencing of activities in planning and scheduling, with minimal variance/changes
- Review and update schedules regularly, considering changes in scope, resource availability, and external dependencies
- Provide support in evaluating project risks and developing contingency plans for mitigating schedule delays
- Provide assistance in creating codes for various disciplines like engineering, procurement, and construction to help identify activities based on disciplines
- Assists in preparation of “S” curves i.e., combined for engineering, procurement and construction
- Create and maintain database to have access to historical information at all times and issue log on a regular basis
- Maintain database of dimensions of all equipment’s required for the project, in order to ensure timely ane effective installation
- Provide valuable inputs to senior planning engineers in generating timely and accurate progress reports, highlighting deviations, risks, and potential impacts on project timelines
Schedule Analysis and Optimization:
- Contribute to evaluating “what-if” scenarios and simulations to assess the impact of changes on project schedules and resource requirements
- Provide inputs and recommendations for schedule improvements, contributing to alternative solutions to minimize project duration
- Analyze and capture lessons learned after a project in order to enhance future planning and scheduling
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to obtain progress updates and forecast completion dates
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates on project planning and scheduling matters
Policies, Processes and Procedures:
- Conduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that project control work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures in project controls
Education Qualifications:
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical specialization
- Post Graduate/PMP is desirable

Minimum 5 years with specific experience in Refinery, Petrochemical, O&G industry

Job Purpose:
Plan, organize and ensure engineering & reliability of High-Power Rectifier Systems for Electrolyzer with focus on scaling up the system keeping in view approved budgets and cost optimization measures
Job Accountabilities
Accountable for engineering & reliability of High-Power Rectifier Systems and detailed design review with DEC.
Accountable for engineering & reliability of Heater Panels and detailed design review with DEC.
Accountable for selection of appropriate High Power Rectifier Systems keeping in view impact on power system.
Accountable for commissioning and testing of High-Power Rectifier Systems in co-ordination with DEC, OEM & user teams.
Accountable for Periodic review of Performance monitoring & benchmarking as per international standards.
Accountable for ensuring continuous improvement in design and modification by means of active interaction with stakeholders, optimizing engineering practices
Accountable for Overseeing Statutory and Regulatory compliance at engineering stage.

Liaise with OEMs / packagers / consultants to be abreast of latest trends in technology, design etc. Support for procurement / services scope finalization, vendor selection, validation for High-Power Rectifier Systems.
Improve reliability through Continuous Improvement techniques/ up-gradation/ Projects / implementation of advance diagnostic and online condition monitoring techniques
Standardization of best maintenance practices related to High-Power Rectifier Systems.
Identify training needs and facilitate for learning, skill development of Engineers at sites in High-Power Rectifier Systems
Prioritize and set milestones for the team. Coordinate with technology vertical heads for commercializing new schemes/processes
Evaluation of Repairs & refurbishment facilities for High-Power Rectifier Systems.

Profound knowledge in detailed engineering of High-Power Rectifier Systems.
Knowledge of power electronics principles, practices and codes and standards associated with various systems and equipment
Functional expertise in developing/review robust design basis, guidelines for systems.
Ability to review and optimize Layout, Electrical SLD, BOQ etc.
Knowledge of the latest technological trends in the Electrolysers segment.
Knowledge of tools for simulation, modelling, configuration of systems
Knowledge of system sizing calculations, integration techniques.
Participate & conduct design reviews with all cross functional teams.
Knowledge of industrial testing procedures.
