Manager, Cisco Meraki Support Team

As a Senior Support Manager, you will lead the establishment and growth of a new Cisco Meraki Support Team in Bangalore, India. This role is pivotal in building a strong team that will provide outstanding support to our global customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team leadership, technical contact center management, and a deep understanding of Cisco Meraki products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and champion a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture within ouR new support team based in Bangalore, India.
  • Develop an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive staffing plan to recruit top talent for the support team.
  • Oversee the hiring process, including interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new team members.
  • Recruit and hire first-level managers to work closely with support engineers, ensuring effective team management and support delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong collaboration with teams within Cisco, including engineering, sales, product management, and especially other Cisco Customer Experience Teams.
  • Collaborate with global support teams to ensure alignment and consistency in support delivery.
  • Identify and procure suitable office space in Bangalore to accommodate the new support team.
  • Ensure the office space is equipped with the necessary infrastructure and amenities to support hybrid working arrangements.
  • Drive team performance based on established Key Performance Indicators, Key Results, and support-wide initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Staff teams that provide support coverage overlapping with APJC and EMEA regions to ensure detailed follow-the-sun support operations.
  • Coordinate with regional support leaders and teams for consistent and high-quality support delivery.
  • Develop and implement policies and practices to support a hybrid work model, allowing team members to work both on-site and occasionally from home.
  • Support a comprehensive training program for new hires to ensure they are well- equipped to support Cisco Meraki products and services.
  • Coordinate the creation of an on-premises lab to facilitate hands-on training and troubleshooting for our Support Engineers and Leaders.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years progressive responsibility in support/helpdesk role
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a management role
  • Proven ability to lead in a customer-centric support role
  • Working knowledge of Wireless, Routing, Switching, Voice, Cloud Networking Concepts
  • Relies on extensive experience to guide complex and sensitive customer problems to resolution
  • Ability to think strategically and critically about Meraki’s goals by compiling data from both performance numbers along with other subjective observations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • A real passion for leading and working with others and having a role in the professional growth of other

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter.  Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Electrical Product Engineer works very closely with hardware/Mechanical/Software design team plus manufacturing team & other multi-functional team to ensure the product is manufacturable meeting cost, Quality & delivery requirements.

Who You Are :

  • He /she reviews the design & architecture from DFM, Component technology used, EOL etc.
  • During NPI’s he/she should provide all technical support required for Proto builds and ensure cost/Quality targets are met
  • During sustenance, need to manage change management activities & also need to work towards meeting factory and field Quality metrics.

Knowledge and application of industry innovations / trends to product or program Creating, analyzing, and releasing product documentation. Manufacturing (Process), FMEA, Design FMEA.

Design diagnostic analysis and input / influence. Leadership and direction of complex issue resolution

Software Engineer – Networking

Our team develops Networking Software for one of the most advanced Network Operating System in the world, IOS-XR. We work on several platform independent components, including System/Infra software, OAM, Manageability and Serviceability infra software and work in close collaboration with Platform development teams to enable the Software stack on the existing and future platforms. Team works on technologies including virtualization infra, Application hosting and Serviceability infrastructure software. Team also works on emerging technologies in data models, telemetry integration and routing innovations like Segment routing.

Who You’ll Work With

The NeXT Platform Independent Common (PI-Common) group is responsible for driving the PI software that works across Cisco’s flagship routers and switches. We craft and develop high-performance system software for various Cisco Platforms which includes Enterprise Switching & Routers, Data Center Switches, and Service Provider Routing Platforms.

We require creative and smart engineers who can develop high-quality software on schedule, with good communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, as well as maintaining existing features and areas.

You have:

  • 5-8 years proven experience in internetworking technologies and applications.
  • Good experience in developing s/w in C, under multi-threaded environment with Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Hands on Data Structures, Operating Systems and Data Networking fundamentals
  • Exposure to development of software for large/complex network devices including routing & switching systems.
  • Experience in development of Layer 2 (Ethernet) and/or Layer 3 Networking protocols including Routing, IPV4/6 (unicast/multicast) Is preferable
  • Expertise in working with Linux OS
  • Expertise in developing software for complex multi-threaded real time systems
  • Experience in any Cisco OS – XR, XE or NXOS would be a plus
