An opportunity has arisen for a driven and customer-focused individual to join the Civil Aerospace Customer Regional Team at an exciting time as the commercial aviation market recovers and as we lay the foundations for future growth. As the Vice President of Customers, you will report into a regional Senior Vice President (SVP) Customers and will play a key team leadership role within the region supporting the SVP Customers in developing and achieving business objectives. The role provides leadership across the sales, operational, commercial and strategic elements related to customer accounts with frequent customer exposure. You will represent Rolls-Royce business interests whilst balancing your role as a leading advocate for your customers issues within Rolls-Royce. You will shape a strategically important and dynamic part of our business where you will struggle to find two days that are the same. This is a senior level role where the individual will be expected to operate effectively at executive levels within the customer base and Rolls-Royce as well as be a visible leader to the regional team. In this role, you will travel regionally up to 70%.

Key Accountabilities

Lead customer relationships over the lifecycle and deliver Civil Aerospace revenue and customer satisfaction targets using robust account planning processes
Define and implement customer account & campaign strategies through engaging the wider team and seeking support from executive stakeholders
Provide effective market intelligence to the business and effectively anticipate the needs of the customer and to support business forecasting inputs
Responsible for ensuring that risk management and compliance standards are rigorously applied
Deliver customer account revenue and cash plan to achieve regional financial targets as well as managing threats, cash and profit opportunities relative to budget.
Champion the use of lean principles and, where appropriate, digital systems that benefit both the Customer and Rolls-Royce

Basic Requirements

Associate degree with 10+ years of leadership and customer facing experience within aerospace, OR
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of leadership and customer facing experience within aerospace, OR
Master’s degree with 6+ years of leadership and customer facing experience within aerospace, OR
JD/PhD with 3+ years of leadership and customer facing experience within aerospace, OR
12+ years of leadership and customer facing experience within aerospace in lieu of a degree

Preferred Requirements

Demonstrated ability to deal with and conclude complex negotiations.
Experience and comfort operating at an executive level
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Influence multiple stakeholders and those around them
Coach, develop and provide clarify for the account team
