In This Role, You Will
Lead complex initiatives managing all activities in a project life-cycle such as initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing associated with projects that are long-term, line of business wide and medium to high risk, scope and complexity with broad impact
You will be responsible for delivering projects and programs using various types of project delivery methodologies – mainly iterative development within Agile methodology. You will be engaged throughout the full project life-cycle, work directly with senior representatives of all organizational areas, and be considered the highest-level functioning expert.
Candidates should be self-starters, eager to learn and continue to grow and develop professionally, able to multi-task, work extremely well under tight deadlines, and be comfortable working with large, multi-disciplined technology and business teams.
Review and initiate complex multi-business and enterprise support operations, organizational systems knowledge and navigation to anticipate change impacts
Ensure full understanding of project impacts that translate into comprehensive engagement strategies
Make decisions in end to end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end while developing and implementing program and project level processes, procedures and performance metrics
Demonstrate understanding of policy, methodology and artifact creation that influence and lead change management to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with executive leadership, stakeholders, project leads, executive leadership, sponsors and business partners to clarify and define project requirements
Additional responsibilities include:
Leading large-scale project transformation initiatives
Will manage tech and non-technical business projects
Strong understanding of core enterprise functions and capabilities
Will present results of analyses and recommendations to senior leaders
Interacting with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Working independently and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of Agile experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Financial services industry experience
Experience in managing regulatory programs/project and knowledge of regulatory groups
Ability to manage large complex cross-matrix organization; including multiple business, technology and risk disciplines with direct leadership; the development of the strategy for information security; and implementation of roadmaps for the Enterprise
Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, combined with strategic business focus and vision
Ability to present initiative current state, tailored to the audience, including multiple levels of management
Project Management Institute Certification (PMP)
Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, raise awareness for issues, record actions, and achieve results
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly experienced in all Microsoft office tools
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
