Overview
Position: Senior Analyst / Associate, Development and Investments
HHRE is seeking a high performing individual to support our development and investment activities. We specialize in medical office, surgery centers, life science labs and manufacturing, light industrial, and general office.
This position will be full-time and based out of our Dallas regional office.
We predominantly work in the office or field
This role will work closely with firm partners and report to the President
Expect some regular travel as we have both local and regional projects
Competitive base salary with opportunities for variable comp based on performance and skill level
Expect to participate in all facets of real estate development and investment to include sourcing, acquisitions, capitalization, development, and operations.
Responsibilities
This position will provide financial analysis, research and analytical support associated for new developments, redevelopments, and acquisitions, while also assisting with asset management and leasing assignments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform financial analysis of acquisitions and development opportunities via financial modeling, analysis of cash flows, and application of valuation methods using Excel software.
Assist with due diligence process for new development pursuits and acquisitions by performing market and site due diligence, managing document control, creating lease abstracts, verifying projections, or other duties as assigned.
Participate in the management of development projects including feasibility analysis, entitlement processes, financing, design, contracting, and construction management.
Participate in the asset management of new and existing properties including leasing, property sales, and administration of investor requirements.
Reviewing and negotiating leases, sales contracts, construction contracts, and capital projects.
Perform market research and prepare deal summaries, PowerPoint presentations and investment committee memos related to the underwriting and internal approval of acquisition and development opportunities.
Source, maintain, and update sales and lease comparable databases.
Develop and maintain relationships with leasing/sales/land brokers, investment sales brokers, lenders, legal counsel, and other market contacts as needed.
Prepare presentation materials and proposals with responsibility for written and graphic requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or similar. MBA / MS in RE a plus.
Three or more years of experience in commercial real estate or in a financial analysis role, such as with a lender.
Knowledge of commercial real estate and finance concepts, including promoted interest and waterfall structures.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to prepare complete underwriting models and presentations for investors, lenders, and prospects.
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Hours & Travel
The individual will be expected to work full-time in the office or field. Hours will depend on workflow.
Limited overnight travel will be required.
Training
All new hires will spend some time working at our corporate office in Tampa, FL to meet the team and be introduced to all facets of the company. All three office locations work closely with each other on a regular basis and will often collaborate on regional projects.
