Job Description

Indorama Integrated Oxides & Derivatives is currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as an Administrative Assistant – R&D located at our The Woodlands, Texas facility. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Research and Development organization at the IVTC site. The role provides first point of contact for both internal and external guests to the site.

What will be expected from you?

  • Provide assistance to visiting associates and external visitors/customers as the first point of contact.
  • Provide support of special projects and work as a team with the other technology center associates.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel and create travel itineraries.
  • Maintain the outlook calendar by planning and scheduling meetings and teleconferences, including accurate and updated Outlook entries, room booking, catering, logistics, and frequent revisions.
  • Assist leadership team with paperwork associated with visas, global entries, and passport renewals.
  • Screen phone calls, inquiries/requests, and handle when appropriate, which will include customers, media, sales, and other various business relationships.
  • Support R&D Director and Facilities Manager, IVTC with properly managing the lab resources.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in accordance with Purchasing policy and review and process invoices.
  • Complete expense reports on time and in full, ensuring strict adherence to Indorama policies for approval by the respective line managers.
  • Support R&D Director and Facilities Manager, IVTC with properly managing the lab resources.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

  • Associates Degree or equivalent with 5+ years related experience
  • 5 years’ experience (more 8 years’ experience preferred) in an admin function
  • Administrative experience working with Research and Development, preferred
  • Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, email and databases, and Internet search skills
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Executive level support or similar experience preferred
  • English with Bilingual Portuguese or Spanish strongly preferred
